About Technical Difficulties

A South African software consultancy building the systems organisations depend on — since 2013.

Our story

Composure under complexity

The name is a wink — the phrase everyone dreads — reclaimed by the team that actually resolves it.

Technical Difficulties is a South African software consultancy with specialist teams across enterprise application development, cloud architecture, cybersecurity and business systems consulting. Founded in 2013, we serve organisations in the private sector and government — building and maintaining the systems they depend on.

Our engineers have deep .NET domain expertise, including serialised inventory management, inter-branch stock control, asset tracking and solar energy system topology. We are organised into focused practice areas so the right specialist is assigned to every engagement — not a generalist stretched across three projects.

As a 100% Black-Owned Level 1 B-BBEE EME, we are fully registered on the Central Supplier Database and compliant for government procurement, SITA transversal contracts and formal tender processes.

What sets us apart

Four commitments

  • Specialist teams, not generalists. Engineering, Cloud, Security and Advisory — the right specialist is on your engagement from the start.
  • Public-sector ready. The compliance groundwork is done — we can respond to a tender or be added to a transversal contract quickly.
  • No delivery theatre. We agree a scope, work to it, and flag changes early — in plain language.
  • Architecture that lasts. Clean Architecture principles keep the codebase maintainable after the original team rolls off.

Work with a team that goes deep
